This is the perfect challenge for trekkers who want to extend their experiences by summiting a Himalayan mountain. Shitidhar translates to White Peak and at 5294 metres is a perfect introduction to high altitude climbing in India. The route up the south face is non-technical, but physically challenging. This 10 day climbing itinerary includes plenty of time of acclimatization, maximising your chances of reaching the summit. Throughout the trip there will be many opportunities to experience incredible views of other Himalayan peaks including Hanuman Tibba (5984 m), Deo Tibba (6002 m) and Indrasan (6001 m).

Day 1 Departure from Delhi

Day 2: Arrive Manali in the Morning from New Delhi / Chandigarh. Rest Day, Equipment checking plus last minute shopping.

Day 3: Drive to Solang, further trek to Bakar Thatch via Dhundi. Lectures on Surrounding, Equipment handling and mountain terminology. Acclimatization walk to Bhojpatar in the evening. Overnight at Bakar Thatch.

Day 4: After breakfast trek to Beas Kund Glacier for the training of Basic Ice Climbing Techniques – use of crampons, use of Ice Axe, anchor & belay. Reach camp by evening. Overnight at Bakar Thatch.

Day 5: After breakfast trek to Glacier to Practice the ascending and descending techniques, Step cutting, rope fixing. Lunch to be had on glacier. Reach camp by evening. Overnight at Bakar Thatch.
