Come join us on a trip to Kashmir, the Paradise on Earth to enjoy the thrill of Skiing in the snow at Gulmarg. Make snowman and snow castles and have snowball fights. Laze on a Shikara on an afternoon at the Dal Lake. Treat yourself with some Kawa (Special Kashmiri Chai) and be spellbound by breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains and stunningly beautiful valleys around Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonmarg.
The Plan :
Day 1: Gather at Pune Railway Station, meet, greet and start the journey by train in 3AC coach to the Paradise on earth "Kashmir". Overnight on train.
DAY 2: Train
DAY 3: Jammu-Srinagar (293 KM 9/10 Hrs)
Arrive at Jammu. Have Breakfast and proceed for Srinagar by car. Stop for Lunch (Speciality Rajma-Chawal with pure ghee) on the way. Enjoy mesmerizing views of the valley of Kashmir and snow capped mountain peaks. Transfer to Hotel in Srinagar. Overnight at Srinagar.
DAY 4: Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar ( 50 KM / 2 hrs )
After breakfast set out for Gulmarg. Reach Gulmarg. Enjoy wonderful nature and snowfall, make a snowman, snow castles and have snowball battles with your friends. Enjoy the thrilling adventure of Skiing and Gandola ride (Optional at own expense). Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 5: Srinagar
After Breakfast start your half day tour of the world famous Mughal Gardens. Visit Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (The Abode of Love). In afternoon, laze on a Shikara ride across The Dal Lake which has earned Srinagar the reputation of Venice of East. Be enchanted by the views of places and mountains around the lake. Enjoy some hot Kawa (Special Kashmiri Chai) over shades of the sunset. Overnight stay at Srinagar Hotel.
DAY 6: Srinagar – Pahalgam- Srinagar ( 186 Kms 3/4hrs)
After breakfast, set out for full day excursion to Pahalgam (2440 Mts.- Vale of Kashmir) On the way visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag Sulphur spring. Pahalgam is one of the most favorite locations of Bollywood. Enjoy the nature and charm of the valley. In the evening return back to Srinagar. Overnight at Srinagar Hotel/Houseboat(Optional).
DAY 7: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar (196 Kms 4/5hrs)
After breakfast set out for full day excursion, on the most spectacular drive from Srinagar to Sonmarg (2690 Mtrs - Meadow of Gold). One may choose to ride a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Sonmarg is known as the Gateway of Ladakh. In the evening return to Srinagar. Overnight at Srinagar Hotel.
DAY 8: Srinagar
After Breakfast full day at your leisure , enjoy shopping etc. Overnight at Hotel In Srinagar.
Day 9: Srinagar – Jammu (293 Kms 9/10hrs)
After Breakfast Drive for Jammu and arrive Jammu in the evening , transfer to Railway Station for Pune.
Day 10 : Train
Day 11 : Back to Pune with mesmerizing memories of Exotic Kashmir.
